Lock plate stamped “EAGLE/U.S./SPRINGFIELD”. Model 1879 stock with Virginia Militia “I/V A/396” stamps on comb of stock. Very good overall with finely grained walnut stock having a good Ordnance Inspector’s cartouche and metal a medium grey original patina. Perfect working order and excellent bore.
